Warner Brothers and 888 Partner Up in Branded Games Agreement

Warner Brothers Digital Distribution has announced that it has partnered with 888 Holdings plc after having signed a licensing agreement to allow the gaming organization to develop specially branded games to reflect some of the production company’s more popular recent films.

As a result, shares on the London Stock Exchange of 888 Holdings plc jumped to 35.75 pence, which was an increase of 2.14 percent.

According to 888, the state of the art nature of its existing range of offerings demonstrates its ideal qualification to create and distribute branded games for two of the blockbuster hits from Warner Brothers: Nightmare on Elm Street and Clash of the Titans.

According to 888 Vice President of Business Sales Yaniv Sherman, “We are thrilled to be working with one of the world's most renowned entertainment companies and will be developing and deploying the new games this year and next.”  He also explained that “This exciting deal marks another milestone for 888 in our pursuit of gaming excellence.”

888 is not the first company to be awarded agreements of this nature.  For example, Batman and Superman casino games are currently in development with CryptoLogic, and The Lord of the Rings online slot machine games are being created by Microgaming.
