CityCenter and IGT Collaborate To Make Brand New Casino Gaming Products
On May 7th, 2008, CityCenter and International Game Technology have signed an official agreement regarding of the installation of a server-based network and related IGT and gambling management system products at the development's resort casino facility. The casino is scheduled to open on 2009. IGT's top class Service Window and server-based casino gaming floor network will give the framework for the initial gaming floor of the type of this system.
The service window can be easily accessed by the players through their slot machines and the casino table games that will be connected to them via their MGM Mirage Players Club account and to different services. Server-based technology represents an interesting change in the gambling circuit and both IGT and CityCenter are looking forward to the chance of working with the gambling regulators in Nevada to make this plan a reality. CityCenter is an $8 billion mix-used property owned by MGM Mirage and Dubai World.
Steve Morro, IGT's Chief Operating Officer said that they will continue to cooperate with MGM Mirage and their other test locations to thoroughly test these new gaming products and to fix any problems that may still come up during the testing of the system. They are also hoping to finish the testing of the products in time for the opening of the CityCenter facility.
The Chief Operating Officer of CityCenter's casino resort, William P. McBeth said that they are always on the look-out for new gambling innovations that will enhance the gaming experience of their customers and set them apart from the rest of the gaming industry. CityCenter is a beautiful vertical city in the Strip that is situated between the Bellagio and the Monte Carlo resorts.
The development also covers 2,650 residences, 2 four hundred room non gambling hotels, a sixty-one story, 4,000 room resort casino facility and a five thousand square foot retail and entertainment area.
