Craps Buy Bet

Buy Bets can be made only after a come-out roll and only with the numbers 4 or 10, 5 or 9, and 6 or 8. A win is made if the number that the player "Buy(s)" is rolled again before 7 is rolled.

Players should be aware when making Buy Bets because of the 5% commission or "vig" (vigorish) that the gambling casino takes if a player wins (some casinos on losses as well).

The payouts for Buy numbers are as follows:

• If you "Buy" a 4 or 10 with a $20 bet then you will win $40 but must pay a 5% "vig" which is in this case $1. (4 or 10 = 2:1).
• If you "Buy" a 5 or 9 with a $20 bet then you will win $30 but must pay a 5% "vig" - $1. (5 or 9 = 3:2)
• If you "Buy" a 6 or 8 with a $20 bet then you will win $24 but must pay a 5% "vig" - $1. (6 or 8 = 6:5)

Buy Bets are not recommended for 6 or 8. Due to the high house odds, there are much better bets to be made when playing the game of u.
