Craps Pass Line Bet

The h Pass Line Bet is the first and most basic bet a craps player can make. The bet can be made before or after the shooter throws the dice on his come-out roll, but this gambling guide recommends placing the Craps Pass Line bet beforehand because it increases your odds of winning. The object of the bet is to be on the shooter's side and if he wins, you win.

  1. In the Craps Pass Line Bet, a player will win even money if the come-out roll is a 7 or 11.
  2. The player will lose the bet if the roll makes a 2, 3 or 12.
  3. If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 are rolled, this establishes the point number and then the player will win if it is rolled again. If a 7 is rolled before the point number is rolled again, then the player loses.
  4. The house edge is 1.41%, which is the smallest of all the bets placed in Craps.
