French Lick Casino Player Attendance at an All-time High

On April 28, 2007, the French Lick Resort Casino, which experienced a slide in the number of visitors that they received since their opening in November 2006, reports that they seem to have recovered in March 2007, attracting over 125,000 people to the gambling casino.

According to the statistics held by the Indiana Gaming Commission, The French Lick Casino, located in southern Indiana, attracted around 156,260 visitors during its first month of operation. The casino drew around 120,000 customers in December 2006 and January 2007.

In February 2007, French Lick drew around 100,584 customers compared to the 125,737 customers it drew in March 2007. Casino officials said that one of the main reasons why the resort experienced a casino slump in December was bad weather.

As temperatures improved in March, so did the customers that the casino received. Gamblers lost around $7.4 million at the French Lick Casino compared to the $9.2 million last March. Officials said that the busiest month of the casino is around summer and fall, when people can enjoy themselves outside without worrying about the weather.
