Hoosier Park Receives Go Signal from Indian Gaming Commission

On June 2nd, 2008, the Indian Gaming Commission gave Hoosier the final go signal to open its facilities to customers as previously planned. Following a mandatory review held after a test run that attracted thousands of customers to the 92,000 square foot casino gambling floor just recently, state gambling officials approved the casino's grand opening at exactly 9:00 a.m. that day.

The ribbon cutting ceremony and spending the first official dollar in the casino gambling facility begin at 8:30 a.m. outside the casino facility's main entrance. The Hoosier Park officials plan to open the casino facility twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to let players try their hand on the facility's 2,000 slot machines, which includes linked progressive slot machines and multiple players' electronic casino games.

Hoosier Park can be found east of Scatterfield Road between 53rd and 38th streets. Its floor expansion includes nine brand new restaurants and an estimated 550 new employment opportunities. The brand new Hoosier facility is expected to produce around $8 million annually.
