Mount Airy Lodge Prepares for Casino Opening

On October 19th, 2007, the employees at the Mount Airy casino Resort facility were already working on the finishing features for their trial run. Most gaming proceeds from the trial runs would have to go to non-profit organizations.

About four charitable organizations will receive the profits from the test runs. The employees at Mount Airy expect around two thousand to three thousand visitors to participate each casino night. As the Mount Airy Casino prepares for their initial offering, Bob Uguccioni from the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau watched an ad for the previous Mount Airy Lodge.

He commented that the lodge was very in demand back then before closing down some years ago. The two test nights were postponed a week later because the Mount Airy Casino had to wait for the gaming board's approval of the audit committee. If the two test runs went without a hitch, the casino can open for business on Monday.

Kevin Hayes of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board commented that they just want to be sure that the Mount Airy Casino is prepared for any eventuality. The casino's slot machines should be also working perfectly and it communicates well with the central computer system and the casino's staff should also be properly trained.

Lisa DeNaples has been tirelessly working on the project since the destruction of the old Lodge. She states that it is very gratifying to see the results of their hard work.
