Pokagon Tribe to Launch Four Winds Hartford Casino

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indian Tribe, the proprietors of the Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan, announced on April 20th, 2011 that their newest gaming facility, Four Winds Hartford, is schedule to officially open in August 2011. The facility is located at #68600 Red Arrow Highway in Hartford, Michigan, two and half miles from the City of Hartford between 41 and 46 exits. The Four Winds Hartford Casino is around 52,000 sq. ft. and will maintain the same atmosphere like the Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo. Four Winds Hartford will offer five hundred different slot machine varieties, including slot machine progressives which will be connected to other slot machines in other casinos across the US and create substantial prize jackpots. The establishment will also offer casino table games like roulette and blackjack as well as restaurants like Timbers Fast Food and Deli and a 15-seat bar. The Four Winds Casino Resort's player loyalty program, W Club, that offers complimentaries and points to the player, will also be offered at Four Winds Hartford. Chairman Matt Wesaw, said that the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indian Tribe have a colorful history in area of Hartford with a big portion of tribe citizens living in the area. Wesaw said that they are very happy to offer this one-of-a kind gaming facility to the players in the area. They are also happy that they are able to provide 300 permanent new jobs for the residents in the area. These include jobs in the casino gaming floor and office positions up to the supervisor positions. Casino officials said that they are planning to host a job fair for interested applicants in the following months.
