On March 19th, 2008, with a show girl and a trio imitating the rat pack and dressed in black suits, the Seminole American Indian Tribe from the state of Florida welcomed the debut of Class III slot machine equipment in their north Broward County Casino facility.

But the American Indian Tribe's most developed gaming facility, the Tampa Seminole Hard Rock Casino facility in Tampa, Florida, will have to patiently wait until summer to offer the new slot machines and even a longer time to get the chance to become the only casino establishment in the state of Florida to offer casino card games like blackjack and baccarat. Blackjack, Baccarat and other card games that are considered to be Class III games so it is illegal to host such games in Florida.

Seminole Indian Tribe Gambling Chief Executive Officer Jim Allen commented that the card games like blackjack and baccarat are expected to be offered in the month of June at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood during the event held at the Seminole Tribe's Coconut Creek Casino facility. He added that Tampa should start offering the games to their customers by late summer or by fall.

Under the gambling compact that was approved by Florida Governor Charlie Crist in November, the Seminole Tribe can offer Class III card games and Las Vegas style slot machines at the seven casino facilities. The state receives a part of the profits, beginning with at least one hundred million this year.
