The Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca is ready to open for their first customers. Top Officials from the Seneca Gaming Corporation, the owner and operator of the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca and the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel located in Niagara Falls, confirmed on Friday, March 23, 2007, that their hotel, which has a total of 212 rooms will be open for business on March 30, 2007.
The Seneca Allegany Casino is worth a total of $160 million. Aside from the casino, there is also a hotel, 3 restaurants, an indoor swimming area, a health spa, salon and an enlarged gaming area which is around 68,300 sq ft.
The gaming area has 2,235 h and 40 casino gambling tables. The establishment is considered to be the largest gaming/entertainment establishment in Salamanca.
Brian Hansberry, Seneca Gaming President and CEO commented that this is one of the significant developments in the area since the railroad engines were first built in the area. The Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel resort aims to employ around 1,200 people, which will make the casino/resort the biggest employer in the Cattaraugus County area.
The grand opening of the casino on March 30, 2007 takes place less than 18 months after the ground breaking of the planned casino. The Seneca Allegany Casino opened their temporary establishment back in May 2004.
